Select Services was founded in 1982 initially as a launderette and providing sales and maintenance of commercial laundry equipment by Chris Whitehouse (Snr) but grew to provide laundry service, dry cleaning and linen hire to public and hotels and restaurants.

Originally in Fordhouses, Wolverhampton the first location dedicated itself to providing a Laundry Service for the local residents but responding to the needs of a growing clientele, Chris expanded his services to provide dry cleaning, duvet cleaning, curtain cleaning and more, all under the reliable name Select Services. In 1996 Chris (Jnr) joined the company and it was decided Select needed to become a professional dry cleaner in Wolverhampton so additional shops were added, firstly a Dry Cleaning Unit Shop and then another Launderette in select Wolverhampton neighbourhoods, eventually bringing the total number of Select shops to three.

Select Services name had such a good reputation for their service and reliability they were approached by a local authority to take over the running of 17 purpose built laundries. During this period they were also approached by Wolverhampton Wanderers and undertook all the laundry for match day and training kits while under Sir Jack Hayward.

The Laundry Service continued to expand and a FREE collection and delivery service was added. In 2000 Select opened their own dry cleaners in Wolverhampton based in Fordhouses.

They focused on high-quality fabric care which lead not before long to Select Services being approached by the UK`s largest Insurance Company to work direct on their fire / flood claims and within 2 years Select Services became part of a consortium of Independent Cleaners who were awarded Insurance Provider of the Year (UK) Award in 2004.

They have since gone on to provide 3 of the UK`s biggest Insurance Companies with their Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services and have increased their staff numbers from 5 to 14 today.

We have a large FREE car park to the front of the premises and are Open 7 days a week to service your requirements.

Along with the Insurance Companies their customer base includes other many well know companies such as Virgin, Holiday Inn, Britannia Hotels, Alstom and local companies in Wolverhampton such as Beatties, Clarins, Diffusion, Novatel, The Mount Hotel, Wolverhampton City Council, HS Marstons to name but a few.

In 2014 Select Services where enrolled into The Chartered Institute for Clothing And Footwear and became the only Dry Cleaning and Laundry Company ever to be registered as Professional Consultants.
